Andrés worked very closely with his clients to define the right materials, textures, and colors to create their dream Mexican getaway. It is a unique combination of rustic and luxury living, making it truly unforgettable.

from the client: Andrés Saavedra started out as my contractor/designer and ended up as my friend. He took what was a pile of dark and damp rubble and turned it into a comfortable and stylish condo where high style meets Mexican chic. He used only quality materials including wood, stone and plaster and he did it on time and on budget. He is a brilliant designer, a meticulous builder and an upright person who is as good as his word.

The focus of the house is the kitchen, with its soapstone countertops, hand-made tornillo cabinets, and top-of-the-line appliances. The one-of-a-kind onyx pieces make the living area and bathrooms into pieces of unique art while while the bamboo floors in the bedrooms add a warm touch rarely seen in Zihuatanejo. Different lighting details make this apartment especially spectacular at night.

from the client: Andrés is a joy to work with. He listened carefully to both of us telling him what we wanted and suggested things that were creative, functional and fit perfectly with our ideas. The result is wonderful and exactly what we had in mind, only better. His crew of skilled workers has done work of excellent quality, executing his ideas beautifully. We were surprised and pleased to find that he builds as "green" as possible, so in many respects [our] apartment [in Xiguacan] is better at conservation than our home in the US.
